Tweetdeck merupakan aplikasi desktop untuk Twitter, Facebook, Myspace dan Linkedln. Pada awal kemunculan TweetDeck nie pada tahun 2008, fungsinya ditujukan terhadap perkhidmatan rangkaian sosial Twitter. Namun pada Mac 2009, satu pre-version dikeluarkan yang mana pengguna Facebook dapat update status kat Tweetdeck nie.

Melalui TweetDeck, pengguna boleh updates Twitter dan Facebook sekaligus. Ini kerana TweetDeck mempunyai setting untuk pengguna update status Facebook/Twitter sahaja ataupun update kedua-duanya sekaligus. Selain itu, pengguna dapat melihat updates mengenai Status Update FB, Wall Posts FB, Photos FB dengan hanya satu page sahaja. So, pengguna tak payah membuka page yang banyak untuk membuka semua tu.
Selain itu, function yang membuatkan penulis lebih tertarik untuk menggunakan TweetDeck adalah kerana ianya mempunyai TweetDeck Directory. Fungsi ini sangat menarik kerana mempunyai pelbagai directory yang boleh membuatkan pengguna tidak boring menggunakan TweetDeck. Jika di Facebook, ianya seakan-akan “Groups @ Pages”.
